Forever 21 is fast becoming a favourite of mine.  I have been put off going in before as I find it quite a hard place to shop in, simply because it's such a large store that has so much stock which makes it difficult to find what I'm looking for.  However, when I have time to browse I always manage to find lots of that I like.  Best of all is the price, this playsuit was a steal at £14.75!!  I adore the combination of the gingham print and sunflowers - what could be more perfect for spring.  Forever 21 is also my first stop for jewellery these days, take a look a this necklace - so pretty and well worth £7.40.  I also want this cute floral co-ord.

I planned on getting some nice blog photos on Sunday so took a drive to the lovely coastal town of North Berwick. Unfortunately with the persistent rain and freezing wind I had to abandon that idea.  Anyway, it was still nice seeing a bit more of Scotland but for now I will have to settle for some inside snaps.
More importantly, I finally got the shoes!! So pleased with them; they remind me of my old Spice Girl inspired platforms I had when I was younger (although a lot less ridiculous looking and easier to walk in).   I got this River Island fringed kimono at Christmas but it is still one of my favourite things to wear, its velvety and shimmery - perfect.  The only thing is I am forever reattaching the tassels, they fall off all the time and I always find them randomly around the house - have also lost loads of them as a result.

Wish list: pastels for spring

  1. New Look skirt    2. Miss Guided bag     3. New Look shoes    4. Topshop dress    5. Topshop jeans    6. Matalan coat    7.  Topshop tee     8. Miss Selfridge dress

If you haven't come across Charlotte Fisher yet you really should take a look at her blog for some pastel inspiration. As much as I adore pastels and how cute these colours look worn together (like Charlotte does here), I will be pairing my pastels pieces with black and white.  These gingham print jeans (5) are perfect, being high waisted makes them even better as I can wear them with my cropped jumpers without showing any flesh.  I have long been a fan of New Look's footwear and these ones (3) do not disappoint.  I absolutely love them and desperately want both pairs.   They are only £24.99 and as they have closed toes I think they are more wearable now with this rainy spring weather.

I haven't owned a pair of jeans in years, I just seemed to get into a habit of wearing tights and dresses everyday but I have been considering trying jeans again for a while now.  I wanted to get a cheap pair first of all just to see if I would get used to wearing them again and so I bought these Primark ones which only cost £11.  They seem to have done the trick anyway as I'm converted. Have my eye on these Topshop Joni jeans for my next pair.  I seen this sheer kimono on the h&m website and thought it looked quite nice styled with the jeans so I gave it a try, I just don't think it goes perfectly with these dark ones I'm wearing.  Really loving this tropical printed kimono from River Island as well, it is so pretty and colourful.

Week 2

  1. Shopping     2. Hair dye time again      3. My foundation   4. P.S love products    5. Primark nails
6. Valentine's day   7.  My lovely roses     8.  First outfit post   9. Hanging heart decoration   10. Weekend make-up    11.  ootd     12. Favourite lipstick

A week late with this post but finally playing catch up tonight.  I tried on this skirt in photo 1 (from Primark) but left it back.  I really don't know why though as I actually liked it, typical me.  Anyway, I went back to get it two days later but there was none left in my size, think I just want it more now I know I can't have it.
I have  been using Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation (photo 3) for almost a year, I wouldn't use anything else now. I don't have the best skin and prone to breakouts but this hides it all.  It's a little bit on the pricey side but it is 100% worth it as it lasts all day.  Also, a little bit goes a long way so I only need to buy it every two months.
I got a my hands on a few of the P.S love products by Primark that a few bloggers have recommended and I must say I was pleasantly surprised, especially since the prices start at £1.  I tried the brow pencil in dark, the kohl eye liner and the volumizing mascara, I have even been opting to use these products instead of my usual ones so that has to be a good sign.

What I wore

Topshop skirt          Primark jumper          Miss Selfridge jacket          Primark shoes          Forever 21 bag          New Look jewellery

It has been a very busy week of assignment work so I didn't get a chance to post anything.  I did manage to spare a few minutes to take some photos though.  To be honest I need a bit of practice, I'm far from a natural in front of a camera and my photography skills are basic at best but fingers crossed I will improve as I go.
As I said before, I loved these shoes as soon as I saw them but I had no clue what I would wear with them.  I honestly thought I would end up returning them or at least swapping them for the black pair.  After searching online, I found this skirt in Topshop that I thought would be quite nice with them but when I tried it on the following day it really didn't suit me.  I ended up trying on the skirt I am wearing (find it here) as a last resort and surprisingly liked it.  It was only £20 as well which helps.  Would like to find a nice pair of tapered trousers to wear with them next.

Wish list

1.White Pepper  dress     2. Zara boots     3. New Look shirt     4. Topshop shoes     5. H&M fadora    6. Zara dress     7.  Topshop set     8. ASOS bag      9. Boohoo skort      10. Tophop skirt

Beginning to develop a serious crush on The White Pepper.  All their dresses are so girly, they have the best coloured boots and, of course, their wonderful unicorn bags.  The dress pictured above (1) is my current favourite of theirs, could easily layer it up with a chunky knit and tights while patiently waiting for the sun to arrive (if it ever does).  It's about time I bought a new pair of boots as well, I like to get a new pair every few months as the are my favourite thing to wear and these Zara ones (2) have caught my eye, think they would look great with the co-ord (7) or the skort (9) and the hat (5).
